Mexico is saturated with SOLID primary colors made more magnificent by sunshine. In Izamel we encountered a town bathed in yellow, buildings draped in bright cadmium. We found no yellow brick road, but I certainty felt like I was travelling in an enchanted land. It began with a long train ride. Then the horses. We were charioted away by a long train of gaunt horses, through the narrow gray streets of this golden labyrinth. The yellow fortress at right is a convent.
